Phil is the most skilled and passionate frontend engineer I have worked with throughout my 10-year software engineering career to date.

He outpaced all other teammates by a mile, all while resolving tech debt and refactoring major components to futureproof the codebase from predictable new features to come.
Technical decision making is another reason why I appreciate Phil as an engineer. He's always on the lookout for state-of-the-art frameworks and libraries. He meticulously examines them and experiments with them. This is how I was personally introduced to Svelte. He also excels in deep diving into the backend to apply end-to-end architectural design knowledge for any new engineering tasks. For this reason, even as a frontend engineer, Phil had a strong impact in the backend architecture of the systems we built together.
And most importantly, Phil is a caring teammate who appreciates you as a person as well as a coworker. He is thus very collaborative in nature, and always open to hearing your opinions. His sincere desire to work together to build amazing products is instantaneously noticeable. And so, I'm truly excited on behalf of Phil's next employer and teammates to experience what I did, working with him.
I've had the pleasure of watching Phil transform complex designs into elegant, functional code. He builds designs with smart solutions with meticulous attention to detail.

I have worked closely with Philip for the period he reported to me in his role as Frontend Engineer, post joining Hmlet in September 2019.
Philip’s technical chops shone in the way he worked within our Growth squad to maintain an older version of the site while developing the current Hmlet.com.
He set best practices in development for the team to follow, was meticulous in screening apt tools for development and was instrumental in the mentoring of new joiners. Phillip is such a nice person to have around. He is not only a great colleague but also a very good front-end engineer with having very depth knowledge of javascript, react.js, next.js, and svelt.js.
